Last week the Beauty Works team headed down to London for the glamorous Beauty Awards with Asos, where we were nominated for two of the prestigious awards! The team were so excited to be back at their first physical awards event post-Covid, which was held at Magazine London with a guestlist of 1,000 of the beauty industry's biggest names.
The Beauty Awards recognise the best beauty products across the sector, with 27 categories in total covering skincare, body care, hair care and cosmetics. Beauty Works were recognised in two categories, receiving Highly Commended for our cult product the 10-in-1 Miracle Spray, and winning the award for Best Beauty Collab for the Beauty Works x Molly-Mae Straightener Kit.
To celebrate on the night, we invited three of our influencer ambassadors to join us for the event, styled by celebrity hairstylist Dom Seeley.
Beauty babe Jessica Evans let her hair do the talking with these extra long, tousled waves, created using the Flat Iron Wave Bar 25mm. Featuring a rectangular, curved barrel, this wand gives you a lived-in, long-lasting texture. Dom added 22” Double Hair Set clip-in extensions in shade ‘Dubai’ for length and to enhance thickness. Finishing with Texturising Spray to give that extra ‘oomph’, transforming fine, limp locks with showstopping volume.
Fashion queen Yasmin Davenport wore her locks sleek and straight for an ultra polished finish, styled with the Molly-Mae Straightener. Designed with innovative narrow plates, the straightener glides seamlessly over the hair in one pass, for instant results. Dom used our Super Hold Hair Spray to smooth down the hair after styling, for a flawless finish. He then added Argan Serum to achieve Yasmin’s high shine finish, whilst further taming any flyaways.
Our hair muse Polly Marchant looked incredible, debuting a slightly darker blonde created using 20” Slimline®Tape extensions in a blend of shades ‘Bohemian Blonde’, ‘Mocha Melt’ & ‘Honey Blonde’. Dom styled Polly’s hair using the Flat Iron Wave Bar 38mm for these soft waves.
