1. WASHING
Washing your hair and extensions is essential for maintaining healthy hair, as it will keep the extensions free from product build up and nourish the hair. We advise washing your professional extensions 2-3 times a week with a Sulphate Free Shampoo. This can depend on your natural hair type, scalp and lifestyle. When washing your hair extensions, there are a few things to remember:
It is important to be a little gentler around the roots when washing your hair with extensions, to avoid pulling or catching on your extensions.
Make sure you thoroughly rinse your extensions after washing to avoid product build up. Without thorough rinsing, product can build up and make the hair extensions sticky or waxy which can cause knotting.
Always blow dry hair extensions, never leave them to dry naturally. We recommend using a microfibre towel to gently squeeze any water out of your hair and then using a heat protection spray before blow drying.
