Here’s everything you need to know about Molly-Mae’s hair secrets on how to create the perfect mermaid waves using The Waver Kit.
STEP 1
PROTECT YOUR HAIR
Before styling your hair, Molly always uses our Heat Protection Spray. This lightweight formula is essential to protect natural hair and extensions from colour fade and also minimises any damage.

STEP 2
CLAMP ‘N RELEASE
The Waver Kit features Molly-Mae’s wave essentials for the perfect beach babe mane. The waver couldn't be easier to use! Heat the waver to 180 degrees in order to get a deep set wave and section your hair into layers (around 4 in total). Start from the bottom layer, working your way down 2-inch sections at a time, holding for 5-10 seconds each clamp.

STEP 3
SET THOSE WAVES
As we all know, Molly-Mae’s secret to her long-lasting bouncy curls is her setting clips, and the same goes for her mermaid waves! Once the top front sections have been waved, start to use setting clips. Apply all 8 clips on the front sections of the hair. These clips allow the waves to cool and set for a more defined finish to frame the face. When all the clips have been applied, leave for 20-30 minutes to cool and then remove, to create a defined finished wave.
Next, take the baby pink Beach Wave Comb and comb through the finished waves to create a looser more beachy effect.

STEP 4
EXTRA THICKNESS
The key for Molly-Mae’s beachy waves are thickness and volume, so if you struggle with fine hair and need that extra thickness, we recommend using our Beach Wave Double Hair Set Clip-in Extensions.
