Want to transform your hair by adding full-volume and length from the comfort of your own home? Then our Beauty Works Double Hair Set Clip-In Extensions are perfect for you! Made from 100% Remy Human Hair, these extensions will help to add the volume and the length you have been wanting.
Our Double Hair Sets contain 180g - 290g of hair and either 6 or 7 wefts, depending on the length of the set you choose. They are perfect for creating a fuller, thicker look and are more suitable for thicker hair types. Helping to add full volume, whilst still blending seamlessly into your natural hair. We're going to show you exactly how to clip-in a Double Hair Set on our Influencer Executive, Rebeccah. Rebeccah wears shade 'Mocha Melt' and wants to extend her lengths, so she chose the 20” Double Hair Set!
What you’ll need to clip-in your Double Hair Set Extensions
- Bristle Brush
- Mirror
- Sectioning Clips
- Hairspray
- Hair pins
- Small hair elastic / hair tie
1. Brush Your Hair
With all clip-in extensions, the first step is to brush your natural hair and hair extensions thoroughly to get rid of any tangles; we want them to blend seamlessly, so this stage is essential. You can use your Beauty Works Bristle Brush to do this; the brushes have been developed specifically for gently detangling hair. Using the wrong type of brush may actually cause breakage to both your hair and your extensions.
If you have chosen Double Hair Set Extensions in lengths 18” - 22”, they will contain 6 clip-in extension wefts, whilst the 26” Double Hair Set contains 7 pieces. As Rebeccah chose the 20” Set, she will be clipping in 6 wefts!
Make sure all pieces of your weft have been thoroughly brushed before you start.
2. Section and Braid
Next you’ll need to section your hair at the nape of your neck, ready to clip-in your first weft. You can use a pin tail comb or even your finger to create a straight, thin section of hair. Try to keep the sections of hair clean and tidy for easy application and a seamless blend. Then clip the rest of your hair up with a Sectioning Clip so it’s out of the way.
A top tip to help you achieve a completely seamless look with your extensions is to braid the bottom section of your hair. Rebeccah has naturally thicker hair, so this step ensures that her extensions will blend discreetly.
3. Secure Your Braid
Once you have braided your hair, grab either your mini elastic or hair tie, and tie the end. Then, simply wrap this around, and use your hair pins to keep the braid in place. You can use hairspray to make sure there are no flyaways.
4. Clip in weft #1
Now you can begin clipping in the first weft piece. Start with a 3-clip weft piece, and begin to clip on the top of your braid. We find it easiest if you clip your middle clip first, as this way, you can make sure you have enough hair on either side.
5. Create Section #2
Then you can create the next section of your hair; around 1 inch above where you have just clipped your first weft. This is where a 4-clip weft will be fitted, so make sure to measure to see this fits well.
6. Backcomb and Hairspray
To ensure your extensions don’t slip, back-comb each section at the root and spritz with a little hairspray before clipping the extensions into place. This will give your hair some extra texture for the clips to grab onto, ensuring the extensions stay in place from day to night!
7. Clip in Weft #2
Take one of your 4-clip wefts, and begin by finding the centre of your head and clipping in the middle clips onto your backcombed hair. Once you have clipped the middle pieces, continue by clipping both side clips.
8. Section and Clip in Weft #3 and #4
Like before, section the next piece of your hair, and backcomb again. Spritz some more hairspray, to ensure your hair holds, ready for your next weft.
Take another 4-clip weft, and start with clipping the middle clips onto your backcombed hair. Then clip in both side pieces, ensuring these are tightly clipped to your backcombed hair.
Repeat this exact process with another section of your hair, around 1 inch above where your last weft has been fitted; this is where you will fit your second 3 clip weft.
9. Clip in Front Sections
Now you should have just your single clip wefts left; these have been designed for the side of your head, near the front. They are going to help to add volume to the front of your hair, allowing for a full volume look front to back.
Separate a thin section of your hair, and clip back any other hair. Backcomb and hairspray, like you have done previously. Simply clip in this piece of hair and it should blend perfectly into your hair. Repeat this process on the other side of your head.
10. Heat Protect
You can now let your hair down, as it’s time to style your hair, to ensure a super seamless blend! As Beauty Works clip-in extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair, remeber to protect them with heat protection spray like you would protect your natural hair. The high quality of the 100% Remy human hair allows for the extensions to be styled just like your normal hair. Rebeccah chose to use our Heat Protection Spray, and sprays both her natural hair and her extensions.
11. Style Your Hair
Are you usually rushed for time, but still want your hair to look sleek and straight? Our Speed Styler is great for quickly styling your hair and helping to finish off blending your extensions. The Speed Styler has an extra-large paddle, which will help you to achieve salon-worthy hair in no time! Simply run this through your hair, starting from root to tip, for the perfect finish.
