How was the salon founded?
The salon was founded in 2014. It was always Katie’s dream to own her own salon. At 19, Katie took the leap and decided to set up her own salon in Belper, Derbyshire. Katie wanted to create an environment for clients to feel relaxed and pampered in a modern fresh setting. 18 months later it was time to open salon number 2 down the road in Duffield. Both salons flourished very quickly and became the go to hair destination in the local area. Fast forward to January 2024, salon number 5 has been opened, with a team of 30 working across the salons. Katie and the team pride themselves on their high-quality standard of work. The Katie Weeds Hair Group salons are located in Belper, Duffield, Allestree, Mickleover and Ripley.
Why do you use Beauty Works extensions?
We started using Beauty Works about 5 years ago after I’d heard and seen lots of good reports online and more and more clients were asking about Beauty Works extensions, so we decided to complete the Beauty Works extensions training course! Beauty Works is a reliable brand offering great customer service and a great choice of shades and extension method types!
What is the key service that you offer?
The key extensions services that we offer are Beauty Works Celebrity Choice ® Nanobond®, Stick Tips and Tape Extensions.
What's your advice for anyone thinking of getting extensions?
If there’s certain elements of your hair that you dislike, such as wispiness around your face or your hair stops growing at a certain point, then extensions take all these worries away!
Why do you love your job?
I love transforming clients who have hair problems, and the extensions take all those problems away! My only negative for the client is, I’m sorry you’ll be addicted!
